Anyone own this?

I found this to be a most entertaining giallo, I loved the supernatural undertones.Olihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06747960674130942676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1802467913862929609.post-78750766504280621132007-09-05T21:26:00.000+01:002007-09-05T21:26:00.000+01:00The Eurovista dvd is rather crappy and that's a sh...The Eurovista dvd is rather crappy and that's a shame because I quite like the film itself. I also have an excellent quality German dvd that was released as part of the Bryan Edgar Wallace Collection Volume 3. Unfortunately, it's in German language only but it's fully uncut and the great picture quality makes one appreciate the film much more. For those already familiar with the story, the German dvd might be worth picking up after all.

Btw, the end credits on the German dvd are in Italian and list more cast members than the English version - including c.s.c. actresses Carla Mancini and the late Rosita Torosh. Neither ladies actually appear in the film, though. I've looked high and low for them and they're just not there...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1802467913862929609.post-64862967941495235552007-09-05T14:35:00.000+01:002007-09-05T14:35:00.000+01:00Good point and one that I didn't really consider. ...Good point and one that I didn't really consider. The possession theme would also tie in with Autopsy, where the suggestion is that unusual solar activity is related to a wave of suicides.

"God told me to..."K H Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12032330558218087354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1802467913862929609.post-85343382211585393062007-09-05T13:10:00.000+01:002007-09-05T13:10:00.000+01:00I thought the director meant a possessed character...I thought the director meant a possessed character to be a possible supernatural explanation, not an actual physical manifestation of the demon.
This would actually tie in quite well with established giallo conventions - some event that causes to become a character to become a killer, only in this case taken a bit further than usual (there's also Jason wrestling with the "demon alcohol" of course, etc.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
