I guess the first plays up the homoerotic element (i.e. Clementi appears to be in some state of ecstasy!), whereas the second uses imagery akin to a cop/buddy movie (thus widening the potential audience, I suppose) - and certainly is akin to the later poliziotteschi poster designs.
